Historical Roundup: Walking Box Ranch Materials at the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas

Join us Saturday, November 7th for a talk with Kassidy Whetstone, Curator of Library, Manuscripts, and Photographs at the Nevada State Museum, Las Vegas.

Kassidy will provide a glimpse into the museum’s collections and artifacts from the Walking Box Ranch in addition to historical materials pertaining to Searchlight, Boulder City, the Eldorado region, and other parts of Southern Nevada as they relate to Avi Kwa Ame National Monument. She will also discuss how curators preserve the materials and develop interpretation to boost our understanding of this region’s rich history.

Following the talk, Kassidy will introduce a FAKA service project to inventory the Walking Box Ranch collections throughout the property.
