Stringybark Forests

What were they like, what happened to them, what’s left

Find out about the history and status of Stringybark Forests.  Australia has the highest number of fauna species globally that rely exclusively on tree hollows for nesting. Speaker Brian Gepp - former wildlife ecologist with Woods & Forests dept. - will share his research and insights and hopes to connect with community to add photos and data to the historical record, and inform discussion regarding ongoing management and protection of stringybarks.
