Join us at the Battle Creek Regional History Museum for 'If Walls Could Talk... Discovering the History & Genealogy of Your Home' with special guest speakers Allie Seibert and Jim Jackson on Saturday, April 12th from 2-4 PM.
Author Allie Seibert is a historian from Fenton, Michigan. She runs Household History, a company dedicated to uncovering and preserving the rich stories of buildings, homes and towns. She has written three books, which include stories of forgotten murders and other fascinating tales from Fenton’s local history.
Author Jim Jackson has served as President of the Detroit Society for Genealogical Research, Inc., the Oakland County Genealogical Society and the Calhoun County Genealogical Society. He has written and edited over a dozen books on local Michigan history, including books on cemeteries, the Civil War and the Haskell Home Tragedy.
Both will be discussing research methods and techniques for homeowners interested in finding out the lost history of their own home, and other residential and commercial property they may have an interest in.
