HOBART: Lifelong Respect - Walk Against Elder Abuse

Location: Meeting at Elizabeth Street Mall, Hobart
We invite community to join us for a walk to raise awareness against elder abuse as part of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (15 June). By participating, you'll help spread awareness about this critical issue and show your support for elder abuse prevention.
PLEASE NOTE: We warmly welcome you to join us for the walk, however, the morning tea following the event is fully booked.
Cost: Free
The walk is organised by COTA Tasmania, supported by the Tasmanian Government and local councils, in alignment with Tasmania’s Lifelong Respect strategy (2023-2029).
Route: Gather in Elizabeth Street Mall → Turn left into Liverpool Street → Turn left into Murray Street → Turn left into Collins Street → Turn left back into Elizabeth Street Mall up to Liverpool Street → finishing at St Lukes
Schedule:
Walk starts: 10:00 am
Finish: 10:30 am
Speeches & Morning Tea: 10:30 am - 11:30 am
Following the walk, participants will gather at St Luke’s for a light morning tea and short speeches. (PLEASE NOTE that this is now fully booked; anyone booking from Wednesday 11 June onwards will no longer be able to attend the morning tea - which may change on the day - we will let you know).
You are encouraged to wear PURPLE - the colour chosen for WEAAD across the globe.
