Hobbit Day & The Great Baggins Bake Off 2026

Calling all Bagginses and Boffins, Tooks and Brandybucks, Bolgers and Bracegirdles, Hornblowers, Grubbs, Chubbs, and even the Proudfoots (ProudFEET!)—it's once again time to celebrate the Hobbits we hold so dear!

Join us on Tuesday, September 22nd at 6 PM as we transform into the Shire for an evening of merriment, second breakfasts (or at least dessert), and beloved traditions. Jump in on our annual Scavenger Hunt, show off your finest Hobbit attire in our Costume Contest, and prepare for the return of...

THE GREAT BAGGINS BAKE OFF! 🍰

Ten courageous bakers will compete for the sweetest honor in the Shire and earn all the bragging rights Middle-earth has to offer. Entry is $10, and spots are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

To enter the Bake Off:

• Secure your ticket.

• Email your dessert recipe to communications@fabledbookshop.com.

• Bring your completed dessert to Fabled on Tuesday, September 22nd, where it will be presented to a panel of judges—one of whom may have traveled all the way from Middle-earth.

If you're competing for glory or simply coming to revel in the festivities, this promises to be an evening filled with laughter, enchantment, and the kind of fellowship that would make Bilbo proud. We hope you'll join us for a celebration worthy of the Shire!
