Hobo Dance/Sokkie evening - November
Event description
Join us for a traditional Sokkie AKA Dance, South African style!
Whether you're a recent arrival or a long-time expat, we're excited to connect with our fellow South Africans and provide a welcoming space for local meetups. Anyone who wants to experience a bit of South African culture and dance the night away with us is welcome - not just limited to Born and Bred South Africans so feel free to bring along your Aussie friends!
This time as per multiple requests - we are having a HOBO theme to add to the fun. Do your best to dress up otherwise the bar ladies will have some tricks up their sleeves....
After our recent success with our first Sokkie - we are now permanently including it! Situated right next to our indoor play structure, you can sokkie while your littles play next to you. We have the venue, music and a large space to get those legs moving! We also made the event a little bit longer because we saw that you guys are having way to much fun to already leave early!
Event Includes:
- Introductions: Hosted by Elma, we'll ensure you feel welcome and introduce you to others. Enjoy conversations, food, and even try your hand at ceramic painting!
- Kids Entertainment: Let the little ones enjoy our indoor play centre while the whole family relaxes and has fun.
- Food: A meal AND dessert is included with your ticket price - this time it will be a choice of Russian and chips OR fish and chips
Date: 30 November 6:30pm to 11:00pm
Location: Mug 'n Brush - 5 Mackinnon Street, Rockingham. Entrance from the large carpark at the back.
Come dressed with your best HOBO outfit, warm hearts and your best dance moves as we celebrate our South African heritage together.
Note: Please RSVP in advance for attendance and catering purposes. Bar available within the licensed area; outside food and drinks not permitted. Children must be supervised by parents and wear socks on the play structure.
