Event description

This workshop offers an introduction to nature journalling, encouraging participants to slow down and observe the wetlands. It aims to help people connect with nature by recording their observations through a blend of science, art, and personal reflection. No prior experience in art, science, or drawing is required—just curiosity and a willingness to engage with the natural world.

Time: 9.45am for 10am – 1pm (3 hours)

The workshop will:

  • Explore what nature journalling entails

  • Discuss how nature is represented in a wetland

  • Delve into examples of nature journalling examples

  • Discover your own style of nature journalling

  • Draw upon the wetlands for inspiration using the INIWIRMO technique

  • Use prompts to create nature journal pages

This is a practical hands-on session, so come prepared to write, draw and record!
