Event description

All interpreters from all sign languages are welcome to join us for a powerful 1 hour session on holding space and debriefing with ASL interpreter and emotional intelligence trainer Sarah Lynn Wheeler.

Sarah will talk about;

  • Processing emotional content and vicarious trauma
  • Practicing self-awareness and reflection before, during, and after assignments
  • Building sustainable habits of emotional intelligence, cultural humility, and skill refinement
  • And most critically—creating safe, guided pathways to debrief without fear or confusion

Sarah will deliver in English. Auslan Interpreters provided.

This PD will earn you 10 NAATI revalidation points.
