Event description

Explore the world with new eyes when you learn about the ancient bush medicines, foods and fibres found right beneath your feet here on the Mid North Coast

Used by Gumbaynggirr People for thousands of years, these precious resources are truly abundant
and once you know how to identify the plants, you'll see they grow absolutely everywhere!

Learn from local Gumbaynggirr nyaami Dallas Gittins and walk through the melaleuca and bloodwood forests of No Mans Land

The track is across the road from Yarrawarra (to the right of James Runner Drive) and follows part-bush-track and part-boardwalk, for 1km to the beach

It's recommended to wear enclosed shoes, sun protection, bring a water bottle and insect repellent if necessary

It's a part of the teachings of Gumbaynggirr People to pass on knowledge in person, and to tech and show a person face to face,
this way the passion and interest of the person teaching leaves an impression and hopefully a bit of it rubs off!
