Holiday Fun - spring play for wild ones (4-14yrs)
Spring Adventures in Berry, Shoalhaven.
Pollinating Hearts & Gardens
Everyone's buzzing about this one these holidays!
Roll up, Roll up! Roll up your wildflower seed bombs and blast your garden with some radical pollinator goodness! We are building pollinator hotels and flower seed bombs to take home.
Learn about bees, both native and European.
We will wander through the food forest gathering flowers and herbs to imprint and hammer dye onto cloth or perhaps into a bubbling brew or potion.
Come along on a bug hunt and let's see what we can find in the forest…should we put them in our damper? Hmmmm perhaps not, maybe we’ll stick to local spring honey.

Weaving Spring Magic
Join us these school holidays to weave into the magic of spring.
This day is for weavers, wizards and builders. We will weave nests from materials carefully sourced in Nature and we will build bird hides and camouflage cubbies to play hide and seek or watch the forest bird life.
Magic up some bubbling brews and whittle your magic stirring stick!
Come on a foraging walk through the food forest and find edible weeds and herbs for our communally prepared campfire meal.
AND! We will create some vegie seedlings that you can take home and pop into your garden. Nourishing you from seed to plate!

We will always have on offer free wild play, water colours and fibre arts, big group games and a cosy reading corner.
What happens in a Nature Play adventure?
Explore the wilderness, scramble on rocks, learn bushcraft skills and paddle in waterways.
Nature Play is for kids who are eager to explore and push their limits (within reason). There are no walls here for these kids to bounce off.

While we arrive each day with a flexible plan, we will be learning on the hop and flowing with the interest and energy of the children on the day. There’s acres of wilderness to explore, rocks to scramble, bushcraft skills to learn and practice, paddling in the creek.
Outdoor recreational activities might include:
nature-inspired art and craft
sculpture with salt dough
baking bread on the campfire
weaving
learning knots
stories or songs
building shelters or rope swings
whittling wood
playing trail games
archery
slackline balancing
paddling in rock pools
identifying birds, plants and animals.
Nature Play will feel like a big fun family for your child. We lay the foundation of respect and kindness for self, each other and a reverence for Mother Nature from the very beginning of our day. Our soft skills practices will include deep listening to ourselves and to each other. We learn to be brave to speak our truth, offer knowledge when we feel called, and ask for help when we need it.
Our mentors are experienced outdoor educators who supports bushcraft skills, collaborative play and inquiry into the natural world through an emergent experience following our group's interests.
