    Event description

    Create your own unique and personalized holiday melt and pour soaps in this fun and hands-on workshop!

    Melt and pour soap making is a simple and easy way to make your own soaps. No lye or chemicals are required, making it a great activity for people of all ages.

    In this workshop, you will learn the basics of melt and pour soap making, including how to melt the soap base, add color and fragrance, and pour the soap into molds. You will also learn a variety of techniques for decorating your soaps, such as swirling and layering colors.

    At the end of the workshop, you will have created your own set of beautiful and festive holiday melt and pour soaps to take home and enjoy, or give as gifts to your loved ones. Each participant will make 2 to 3 bars of soap.

    What you will learn:

    • The basics of melt and pour soap making
    • How to melt the soap base
    • How to add color and fragrance
    • How to pour the soap into molds
    • A variety of techniques for decorating soap

    What's included:

    • All the necessary materials, including soap base, mica powder, fragrance oil, and holiday-themed silicone molds
    • Use of tools and equipment
    • Expert instruction from a qualified instructor

    HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN CLASS

    This class is available to take either:

    • In Person at our Shop at 547 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair, NJ 07042
    • Online Virtually on Zoom. 

    IN PERSON CLASS

    In Person Class session takes place at our shop located at 547 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair NJ. Materials and tools will be provided during the class.

    VIRTUAL CLASS

    Virtual Classes take place online using Zoom. Participants will receive a link to participate live in the class. Virtual Classes participants can choose to receive a DIY Kit or a Shopping List.

    Virtual Class participants are required to register at least a week or earlier in advance to reserve materials for shipping or local curbside pick up, or to receive their shopping list in time to acquire appropriate materials.

    DIY Kit includes: 

    • Soap Base
    • Fragrance Oil
    • Mica Color
    • Silicone Mold
    • Mixing Cups
    • Stir Sticks

    Participants Will Need:

    • Access to a microwave or double boiler
    • Microwave/heat safe measuring cups
    • Silicone Spatula or spoon
    • A Kitchen Scale
    • A Kitchen Thermometer

    APPROPRIATE AGES FOR PARTICIPATION 

    This class is appropriate for Adults, Teens, and Children to participate in. Participants must be at least 10 years old or older and can work independently. If a participant needs a caretaker or parent to assist with the project the assisting person does not need a ticket. 

    CLASS PARTICIPATION

    This is a Live event. Participants must attend on the scheduled date and time of the class in order to partake. There is no recorded session available for replay. It is the Participant’s responsibility to contact us prior to the event if they are unable to attend for any reason. If we as the Organizers need to reschedule an event there is no rescheduling fee, and participants will be notified of any changes.

    CANCELATION & RESCHEDULING

    Participants are eligible for a refund if the request is submitted 7 days in advance of the class date. Participants who submit a request 6 days or less in advance are eligible for a 50% refund or an opportunity to apply credit to a future class. If participants cancel the day of the class or do not show up during the class time they are ineligible for a refund.

    If the Participant booked a Virtual Class with a DIY Kit they are eligible for a reschedule only.

    INTERNATIONAL VIRTUAL PARTICIPATION

    If you live outside of the United States there is an additional fee to ship DIY kits. Participants are responsible for any duty fees, customs fees, or any additional fees associated with receiving their DIY Kits. If a participant chooses to get a DIY Kit it is the participant’s responsibility to make sure their country can receive packages from the US.
