From force-feeding Christmas Day concerts to her family on the front verandah, to recording with Tim Rogers (You Am I), touring and writing with Mick Thomas (Weddings Parties Anything) and Angie Hart (Frente!) and sharing stages with the likes of Neko Case, Augie March, Kate Miller-Heidke, Ben Lee, Jen Cloher, Vikki Thorn (The Waifs) and Frente!, Cookie’s 2019 LP, This Is Not A Love Song, is the perfect introduction to her wide range of influences and the whip-smart character of her songwriting. This Is Not A Love Song swings the pendulum dramatically from tongue-in-cheek and unapologetic country-hued nursery-rhymes-for-adults, to sweeping indie pop heartbreakers, to introspective and sparsely decorated contemporary folk.

In 2025, Cookie embarked on the extensive Where Do You Go In The Winter? tour throughout New Zealand and Australia, culminating in her first release in five years - the enthralling single, The Winter - featuring Ollie English. She will release two back-to-back singles during the course of her 2026 spring tour over October - December, taking in regional stops in unique spaces throughout SA, VIC, NSW and QLD.
