READINGS AT PARKSIDE invites you to an exclusive live performance and audio book taping of Mike Albo’s latest project — HOLOGRAM BOYFRIENDS: Sex, Love, and Overconnection from Macmillan Audio!
Mike Albo's HOLOGRAM BOYFRIENDS, told through a series of vignettes, is a work of sonic autofiction where the author humorously dissects the intertwining of emotional and sexual desire with the insatiable consumption of social media and apps.
Macmillan Audio will be releasing HOLOGRAM BOYFRIENDS with both studio sessions and live audience segments in fall of 2025. On May 13th you have the unique opportunity to be part of the live audience recording and to immortalize the sounds of your glorious laughter on the final release!
Albo will be performing a handful of vignettes from HOLOGRAM BOYFRIENDS over the hour with a small break in the middle. Bring your love and laughter and join us on May 13th for this special advance preview and recording event!
MIKE ALBO is a writer and performer whose novels and memoirettes include Hornito, The Underminer: The Best friend Who Casually Destroys Your Life, The Junket, Spermhood: Diary of a Donor, and the queer young adult romantasy Another Dimension of Us. His solo shows include Spray, Please Everything Burst, The Junket, and Spermhood. Hologram Boyfriends: Sex, Love, and Overconnection will be published by Macmillan Audio in the fall of 2025.
