'Home' album launch - Kellee Green/Samuel Vincent/John Parker with special guest Andrew Butt

Jazz pianist and composer from Meanjin (Brisbane), Kellee Green has been performing regularly in Brisbane and interstate for the last thirty years at venues such as the Brisbane Jazz Club, JMI Live and The Paris Cat. In 2022 she recorded Mothers’ Suite, Sweet Mothers, a five-movement work for piano and violin that was commissioned for ABC Classic’s Fresh Start series and recorded by the label. This piece was highly reviewed and is on regular rotation on ABC Classic.
In recent years she has performed at the 2023 and 2024 Brisbane International Jazz Festivals and is the regular pianist for the Andrew Butt Trio+. This group launched their third album, Peregian, as part of the BIJF in October last year to high acclaim.This performance is to launch Kellee’s debut album of her own music, Home, featuring Samuel Vincent on double bass and John Parker on drums (both members of the internationally renowned jazz trio, Trichotomy), with special guests Andrew Butt on saxophones (QMA winner and Churchill Fellowship Scholar) and Kristin Berardi (SWITZERLAND) on vocals (National Jazz Award, National Freedman Fellowship for Jazz, Montreux Jazz Festival's International Jazz Vocal Competition and multi-Bell Award-winner). The title track of this album received Highly Commended at the 2022 Queensland Music Awards in the Jazz category.
Samuel, John and Andrew will be joining Kellee on this gig.
