Peter welcomes people to join him for an opportunity to drop into connection with your voice, each other and the harmonising gift in music and singing together. The session will open with practices for relaxing into the space and your breathing and for tuning into how your voice naturally and easily is expressed, with a priority on enjoying making a true sound rather than necessarily a beautiful sound. From there the group will be brought into easy rhythm together to form a rhythmical basis from which we’ll let sound pulsate, keeping movement and relaxation a priority, letting resonance with each other gradually and naturally come, with help if needed. Peter will offer melodies that shape into a particular song that we’ll work up through the course of the workshop and take the group through different levels of harmony that go with the melody. The nature of the song will be such that once we have a firm basket of melody and harmonies formed everyone will be free to either drop deeply into their part or sing that which inspiration and listening brings to them.Pre-booking is required so that Peter can be in touch and can send you a recording of the song. It’s not necessary to have listened to the song beforehand but it will help where we get to in the session. You can decide to come on the day, but space is limited so it is best to book in.
