Home for the Holidays is a heartwarming FREE Country Christmas Concert held at the Lithgow Showground, celebrating the festive spirit of the Seven Valleys. This open-air event features international-quality live music, activities for the kids, food and beverage stalls, and family-friendly entertainment. Headlining the concert are Fanny Lumsden, Australia’s queen of country charm; Colin Buchanan, beloved Aussie entertainer; and rising star Denvah, known for her soulful voice and storytelling. It’s a joyful evening of music, community, and Christmas magic — perfect for all ages.

RSVP's are optional, as this is a FREE event - but each RSVP gives you one entry into our lucky door prize competition - giving you the chance to win some wonderful prizes. RSVP'ing also allows us to update you on important information leading up to the event and helps us with planning for a safe and successful evening.

While we will have some seating available and plenty of haybales, please feel free to bring a rug, bean bag or camp chair. You're also welcome to BYO esky with food and drinks for the kids - but please don't bring alcohol. The local Zig Zag Brewery will be running a pop-up beer garden for anyone 18+ who wants to have a cheeky drink inside the cordoned-off alcohol friendly zone.

About the artists

FANNY LUMSDEN

Growing up on a sheep farm in western NSW all the way to Glastonbury UK via hundreds of Country Halls throughout regional Australia, 2x ARIA and 9x Golden Guitar, 3x AIR award winning artist Fanny Lumsden’s journey has been a unique one. Having “established herself as one of the one of the genre's most esteemed performers” (The Australian) and with her new album HEY DAWN having just taken out the 2023 ARIA for Best Country Album, the CMAA Golden Guitar for Alt-Country Album of the Year and 2024 Country Album of the year at the AIR Awards, Fanny is a force to be reckoned with. Debuting at #1 on the Australian Album ARIA charts, being the 4th highest selling country album of 2023 and being her second album in a row to crack the ARIA global top ten. Fanny is continuing to break the rules and confirm herself as “undoubtedly the brightest new (country) star of the current era” (Capital News).  

Following up her “breakthrough” album Fallow which took out the ARIA, five CMAA Golden Guitars and the AIR Country Albums, Fanny is known for her regional Country Halls Tour and has recently taken her joyous, energetic, and brilliant live show to debut in the UK to a packed Avalon Stage at Glastonbury and followed up with two hugely successful tours, including a self-produced and promoted sold out Country Halls Tour run in Scotland.  Wrapping up her Hey Dawn tour which sold out shows through NZ, Ireland, UK and theatres across Australia, and “confirms Fanny as a distinctive storyteller, and an indelible personality who can win over fans in or outside of country music” (Doug Wallan, The Australian).

DENVAH

With a voice that captivates, and a down-to-earth charm that makes everyone feel at home, Denvah has swiftly become a shining star in the Australian Country Music scene since her debut EP in 2020. Her rich background in dance and musical theatre, starting at the tender age of 4, has made the stage her second home.

Having recently been nominated ‘New Talent of the Year’ at the 53rd Golden Guitar awards, Denvah dazzled TV audiences nationwide as the quirky Country Girl from Rockhampton, securing a spot in the Australian Idol Top 3 with a series of unforgettable performances. Now a household name, Denvah's appeal continues to soar as she enchants audiences with her natural effervescence.

Denvah has graced numerous festivals and events, including the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Country Fest Qld, Gympie Music Muster, and Groundwater Country Music Festival. Along her journey, she has shared the stage with and supported celebrated artists like Morgan Evans, Kasey Chambers, Brad Butcher, Lee Kernaghan, Troy Cassar-Daley, and Busby Marou.

COLIN BUCHANAN

Dublin-born Colin Buchanan is an ARIA, APRA, and 9 times Golden Guitar winning singer/songwriter whose diverse career includes being a beloved ABC TV Play School presenter, sought-after hit song collaborator, Australia's #1 Christian kids artist, and regular panelist on ABC Sydney Drive's "Thank God It's Friday" with Richard Glover and the cream of Australia's comedy community.

Throughout the '90's, his 4 country releases saw Colin become one of Australia's leading country music artists with Golden Guitars, ARIA and APRA nominations and formidable chart success.

His iconic 'Aussie Jingle Bells' is the most well-known of his many Christmas hits.
