I wrote much of this book from the strange distance of migration. Now I get to bring it back to where it all started: Indonesia.

Join me in Ubud to celebrate Homecoming: The Art & Practice of Trauma Recovery, and for a conversation about trauma, culture, belonging, survival after violence, and what it means to stop abandoning yourself.

The book moves through three parts:

• LENS: a way to see what happened without shame.

• MAP: trauma science and cultural reckoning to understand what the body carried.

• HOMECOMING: practices to return to your body, reclaim your voice, and come home to yourself.
