Homicide 60th Anniversary Talk
Event description
THIS IS AN EVENT FOR UNIVERSITY HOUSE MEMBERS AND THEIR GUESTS.
60TH ANNIVERSARY OF HOMICIDE TALK!
Want to know what lurked on and around the streets of Melbourne in the 1960’s and 70’s?
Remember the days of Leonard Teale, George Mallaby, Norman Yemm and the many other Homicide detectives who graced our TV screens in vivid black and white?
Join Professor David Nichols, Lecturer in Urban Planning, whose research focuses on built environment history, for a glimpse of old Melbourne as depicted in the legendary Australian TV series Homicide. We’ll explore some television from a bygone era which unlocks lost landscapes and urban realms – while considering some of the fascinating socio-cultural issues of the day.
Nibbles and a glass of wine included. Continue the discussion by booking a table for dinner afterwards!
Members: $20Â |Â Guests: $25
