Married 50 years. A mother of seven grown children and twenty two mokopuna and two greatgrand mokos. Born to a strong fluent māori speaking women, bought up in a Catholic tradition and to a father strong in his beliefs tikanga māori, grounded in nature. Learning hands on rongoa māori tikanga and practises alongside of my father, mother, uncles, aunties and a Hokianga Granpa and a Ngatihine grandaunt as a young child influences my therapy practices today. Tikanga Māori and Christianity has been the base of my groundedness.

Having a deep appreciation for nature and natural elements through a Māori world view, a strong sense of values both Māori and Pākehā along with creative initiatives holds dear to my heart. Strengthening wahine leadership for the sake of her whānau, community, hapu and iwi is a strong calling. Therefore as a mother, a nanny, a counsellor, a knowledge keeper, a teacher, an artist, I hope to share some of my creative ways of working to this new mahi that has called me at this time of my journey in life and I look forward to what me unfold.

Thank you for the opportunity in its becoming.
