Honeypot x UNZIP pres. SOLARFUNK | 31.10.2026
Description
We acknowledge the Gadigal and Wangal people and their enduring custodianship of Bulanaming (Marrickville) and pay our respects to Elders past and present. We honour their thousands of years of care and protection of the land, waters, art, music and culture of this place prior to invasion, and the continuing resistance of First Nations people to the settler-colonial state.
Sovereignty was never ceded. This always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
Entry is free for all First Nations people, please send us a direct message so we can arrange for your ticket.

Theme description:
The future we actually dreamed of - human harmonies in nature, the extractive nightmare has been left behind.
Step into our solarpunk world; deep blue dreams of fresh flowing waterways, clean crisp air and regenerative food production enriching our earth’s soil soul. Our homes are woven into the natural landscape and are hardly recognisable, yet the technology has adapted far beyond our wildest dreams.
We have fought and won for this new world, freshly sprouted from the wreckages of data centres, mining wounds and industrial waste lands. Our identities are not weaponised against us in the pursuit of consumerism or divisive politics - we meet each other all as equals.
Without the gender binaries from the nuclear family ideology of the past, people’s self expression has blossomed without oppression. Clothes are brightly coloured, hair styles are asymmetrical and makeup are genderless accessories for all to enjoy. Our expression knows no bounds - aesthetic conformity is no longer required in the post consumerist world.
We have dusted off and vacuumed up the last of the gunk from the previous system - our utopia awaits your arrival.

UNZIP is where you come to shed and truly express. Take off your layers and maybe your pants.
The collaboration of these collectives stems from the desire for free places of expression made by and for sapphic, trans and gender diverse people.
