Hoop drum crafting workshop

Come sit in circle and craft your own medicine drum using wild goat hides. Goats are playful spirits and embody carefree fun that which a lot of women forget about in their busy lives. Goats are also governed by the god pan who is the protector of the wild woman. Another part that is often forgotten about or hidden in women’s lives. However our wild sexual nature is where our creativity stems from and drumming is an opportunity to unlock these aspects so you can hone in on your creativity with your highest potential.

The workshop will be held in a beautiful lodge in the Southern highlands, surrounded by lyrebirds and kookaburras in the bush who cheer you on and sing songs for your drum birthing day.

These drum crafting workshops are an opportunity to weave your story past and future into your drum so that all aspects of your self can come to the table for your healing. We will do a life line activity before starting the crafting process to find out what wants to come forth.

Something amazing happens when you can connect deeply with other women in a beautiful setting, as so much healing comes from women sharing stories, working with their hands, eating and laughing together

Emily will be guiding the crafting process and Jenifer will take you through a drum journey with cacao.

Please bring with you on the day

A sturdy stick to make your beater with (1-2cm in diameter and around 30cm long)

Your lunch. We will have healthy snacks and tea available

A large bath towel to work on and to transport your drum safely home.

Any crystals, feathers or specials items you may wish to attach to your drum or beater. We will have many options also to adorn your crafts with.

Water to get you through the day. There is water onsite however it’s off grid and not filtered.

Jumper and warm socks, depending on the weather. the Southern highland can still have winter like days even in summer

About your facilitators

Emily is an artist who works with animal energy, speaks to the bees, the waters and is very passionate about feminine sexual energy as a portal for creativity. She has been teaching medicine tool crafting and intuitive beekeeping for the last decade, she has been practising the art of yoni worshipping for the last 6 years and incorporates all of these practises in her work.

Jenifer Lorena from Asana flow Holistics

Jenifer walks the path of sacred space weaver and drum carrier, guiding others into ancestral connection and earth based wisdom. It was through the shamanic drum and her ancestral roots that she found her true calling.

She leads drum birthing, ceremonies, and storytelling woven with ritual and ancient practices. As a qualified yoga, yin and yoga nidra teacher, Jenifer supports sf, awareness through movement and meditation. A sacred cacao facilitator, reiki master, and shamanic energy practitioner, she works with plant medicine, Sound and energy to open pathways of healing.
