Hop into Frogging at Greens Bush on the Mornington Peninsula

Join Melbourne Water’s Waterwatch team and special expert guest to investigate some of the frogs that call Greens Bush home.
Hear from David De Angelis, Frogs Victoria President and Zoologist/Ecologist. David is a naturalist, educator and ecological consultant, with particular interests in the conservation and ecology of frogs and reptiles.
The evening events;
7pm The evening will start with an engaging presentation full of frog facts.
7:30 - 8.30pm We will then embark on a guided walk and listen out for the local frogs calling and make some recordings of frogs.
Bring the kids along and engage in fun and interesting facts all about frogs!
9 - 10pm For those extra keen to look for the elusive Southern Toadlet population we will move to a second location (limited parking) to close the evening. This part of the event is less suitable for children.
Get your listening ears on and your smart phone ready to capture records of the frogs calling. Your data will contribute to the Frog Census program which provides vital research on our important frog species.
You'll be having fun, learning new things and contributing to conservation. Win Win Win.
Please bring along a small torch or head torch, smart phone/device and download Frog Census from the App Store.
Sturdy, enclosed shoes a must.
Bring your own water and wear weather dependant clothing. It may get cold after dark, long sleeves advised.
Children must be accompanied by an adult.
