Hope 2025, SASMA Dinner
Event description
The Sydney Anglican Schools Ministry Association (SASMA) Annual Dinner will be held on Thursday 6 March.
The dinner is a great opportunity for Anglican School Chaplains, Christian Studies teachers, youth workers and those interested in ministry in Anglican Schools to come together, share stories and ideas, enjoy a meal and hear from a guest speaker on core topics around ministry in schools.
This year’s speaker is Dr Leisa Aitken, a clinical psychologist passionate about nurturing hope in schools. We all need hope, especially the young people in our schools, but what exactly is it and how can we nurture it? Leisa will explore these questions, analyse some reasons that many young people are struggling to have hope, as well as considering the relationship between hope in Christian theology and psychology.
