Horizons: Delivery — EMEA & India

The benefit promised at approval and the benefit measured after go-live are rarely compared, and almost never by the same person.

Horizons: Delivery is the day on the analysis that happens while the work is being built — slicing it so each piece delivers something, sequencing it against real dependencies, agreeing what "done" means before anyone argues about it, and closing the loop on the benefit that justified the funding.

Who this is for

Business Analysts working inside delivery, whether agile, waterfall or something in between, and delivery leads who want the analysis discipline to hold once the pressure starts.

What we cover

• Slicing work so every slice delivers something a user or the business can actually use

• Sequencing against dependencies and risk rather than against convenience

• Acceptance: what "done" means, who decides, and agreeing it before it is contested

• Traceability from benefit to requirement to test — light enough that people maintain it

• Change control that protects the outcome without becoming bureaucracy

• Benefit tracking after go-live, and closing the loop on what was claimed at approval

What you leave with

• A slicing and sequencing approach you can apply to work already in flight

• An acceptance standard your team and your sponsor can both sign up to

• A benefits-tracking method that survives handover to operations
