Hormones, Mood and Libido - A Case-Based Panel Discussion | GP Education Event at Ponti Health

An Endocrinologist, a GP and a Psychiatrist walk into a bar…

Calling all GPs. You are invited to join us at Ponti Health for a case-based discussion on the interplay between hormones and mood and the effects of these, and medications used to treat them, on libido. We will have cases to present but welcome you to bring your own cases along for discussion.

The Panel:

- Dr Amanda Beech is an Obstetric Medicine Physician and Endocrinologist at the Royal Hospital for Women and Prince of Wales Private Hospitals. She holds a conjoint lecturer position at The University of NSW. She has extensive experience in menopause, osteoporosis, reproductive endocrinology and obstetric medicine.

- Dr Gaurav Tandon is a general Psychiatrist at Ponti Health and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Dr Tandon specialises in the management of mood, obsessive compulsive, anxiety spectrum and post-traumatic stress disorders. He has a special interest in women’s health and the impact of neuro-hormones in psychiatric conditions.

- Dr Anna Connellan is a General Practitioner at Ponti Health with a special interest in women’s health. She has considerable experience in women's health across all ages, is the chair of the Royal Hospital for Women’s antenatal shared care committee and is a member of the Australasian Menopause Society.
