Horse & Rider + Violet + Ïsoeléh

Horse & Rider is an Americana band built around one of music’s most enduring traditions: the power and magic unleashed when a male and a female voice combine to tell a story. Inspired by the timeless vocal partnerships of Johnny Cash and June Carter, George Jones and Tammy Wynette, and more recently The Civil Wars, Horse & Rider is fronted by Dominique Douglas (Big Sky Mountain) and Tim Richards (Tim Richards Music). Together, they reimagine the timeless art of the male and female vocal duet for a new generation backed by a powerhouse band that includes legendary Australian pedal steel guitarist Bruce Reid (Dragon, Wendy Matthews, The Catholics). With a sound that invokes Florence and the Machine, Lana Del Rey and Kate Bush, Ïsoeléh has found herself crossing genres and singing opera, musical theatre, folk, rock and pop. She has performed in various venues around Sydney and NSW including the much-loved (and sorely missed) jazz venue Foundry616 and the Sydney Opera House. Violet will open the evening with their trademark energy, passion and incredible musicianship.
