Horse Head Rock Photography Workshop

Join us where we will be at the Saphire Coast to capture the majestic Horse Head Rock with the Milky Way in this Astro Photography Workshop. At this location, Michael, Alan and Pete will walk through an in-depth instruction and guidance workshop that will teach you how to find your way around in the dark to find the best composition, what exposures to use for night photography and how to focus in the dark.

Included will be step by step instructions on how to create depth with the use of low level lighting to create visual and original nightscape images.

When it comes to astrophotography as pre-described in our course content, we'll always endeavour to describe & explain the concepts and techniques we discuss as carefully and clearly as we can.

Our courses are primarily aimed at DSLR/Mirrorless users and are designed to be as friendly and accessible as possible. We'll assume that you know the basics of operating your camera such as how to change the exposure by shutter speed or f-stop, sensitivity settings and adjust the focus of the lens.

For those who are staying overnight, we will venture back in the early morning to once again capture this and other formations in the area depending on the tide for a magical sunrise.

NOTE: unfortunately we cannot predict cloud cover. We will be practicing the techniques and skills required for night sky photography, but you may not return home with perfect shots on the night due to the nature of the weather.

Workshop does not include transfers from Canberra or accommodation. This location will require participants to manouvre themselves over and around rocky outcrops at night.
