Horses 101
Event description
Step into the world of horses with this hands-on workshop designed for kids aged 7 and up. Guided by our experienced farmers, participants will discover how to approach and interact with horses safely while learning about horse psychology, body language, and basic anatomy.
Children will build confidence and connection through practical skills: catching and haltering a horse, leading and tying with a quick-release knot, and practicing gentle grooming using real tools. The session finishes in the arena, where each participant will lead their horse through a fun obstacle course of poles and cones.
Held at Collingwood Children’s Farm, we take pride in offering fun and educational workshops that bring kids closer to animals in a safe and supportive environment.
Workshops run for 60 minutes during on Tuesday 7 October and Thursday 23 October, 4:30–5:30 pm.
Places are limited—book now to secure your child’s spot!
Please note that those under 18 must be accompanied by a supervising adult, but entry is free for non-participating supervisors.
