Hospice Conversations - Grief (Extended viewing until the 5th of July 2021)

The Warrnambool & District Community Hospice is proud to present the first event in our new Hospice Conversations initiative. Hospice Conversations - Grief is a series of informal, online conversations about Grief, as seen through the eyes of people who have experienced it and local experts from the Greater South West Region of Victoria and Melbourne, Australia.
This event is free and open to anyone
1. Interested in gaining a deeper understanding of grief
2. Who would like to be prepared to manage grief, or support others who are grieving
3. Who has lost a loved one, friend or colleague during the COVID pandemic.
Some of the people whose stories and perspectives will be featured include;
Jodie Fleming – Clinical Psychologist, Author and Breast Cancer survivor, discusses cancer, bereavement and grief
Lu Butler – former Manager of Warrnambool & District Community Hospice, talks about working with families in grief
Jan Smith - Grief Counsellor, discusses her personal experience of loss and grief and tips on supporting others in grief.
Samantha Rennie - Grief Counsellor, discusses the loss, grief and bereavement process & transformation.
Cherie Scott - Non Violent Communications Specialist, discusses how to talk about loss, grief & bereavement.
Mandy McEnvale - Community Grief Support Initiator, discusses grief support networks and tips for supporting children in grief.
Isobel Siebel - grief counsellor with the Crystal Lee Foundation and Hospice volunteer shares her own personal experiences of grief and discusses her experience in palliative care as a counsellor.
Please join us for this free, online event at 9am (AEST), on Saturday the 5th of June 2021. Seven, 20-45 minute, pre-recorded conversations will be uploaded for viewing on the day of the launch.
