Julie's Art & Pottery Studio is situated in the beautiful coastal town of Coffin Bay South Australia, approx 40mins drive from Port Lincoln. The space has been created to house a retail gallery, a working studio and an area to host Mindful Pottery sessions and art practices using various mediums with a focus on wellbeing and utilising her knowledge of art therapy.
Julie began her journey with pottery in 2021 and from there has undertaken workshops through the Jam Factory and various studios in Adelaide. Her pottery techniques and designs are influenced by the coastal surroundings of the Eyre peninsula and her desire to bring joy to people purchasing pieces from her Gallery. In 2026 Julie was named the winner of the Port Lincoln Art Prize Sculpture award for her pottery piece 'Hollow'.
The studio has undergone renovations to now welcome visitors to experience the health and wellbeing benefits of undertaking mindful pottery sessions. Participants enjoy working with the clay and tools to produce their own sculptural or functional piece of pottery, infused with their own creative energy and emotions.
Julie also travels to other regions on the Eyre Peninsula, to host these sessions to community groups and private venues when requested.
