The Hunter Research Foundation (HRF) Centre at the University of Newcastle conducts an annual program of engaged economic and social research.
The Centre's researchers have a deep understanding of the dynamics of the Hunter region, based on more than 60 years of unique data. They harness their expertise to deliver independent and insightful research, including a long-standing economic breakfast series in Newcastle and Muswellbrook.
In collaboration with industry, government and the community, the HRF Centre's 'engaged research' aims to characterise economic and social opportunities and challenges in regions facing significant transition.
