The LinC (Leadership in Communities) Project was created in 2015 as a partnership between Leadership Lab and the three city councils, local philanthropics, tertiaries and local iwi with a vision of “Thriving leaders in local communities”. LinC has now worked with over 300 physical communities and communities of interest throughout Canterbury. In 2019 LinC is now offering an Incubator, Cultivator and Activator programme with a LinC Youth programme Puāwai. The LinC Project (Leadership in Communities) was designed specifically to support and enhance local leadership and recognised change agents drawn from the voluntary, NGO and also central and local government sectors across Greater Christchurch www.lincproject.org.nz.
