Emilie Walsh is an artist and educator based in Melbourne. She moved to Australia from France in 2014 to pursue a PhD in Fine Arts at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne, where she graduated in 2020. Emilie has exhibited in Australia and internationally, including in Melbourne at Forty-Five Downstairs Gallery, Arcade Gallery, The George Patton Gallery, The Abbotsford Convent and No Vacancy Gallery. Emilie also publishes zines and comics in risograph with Tree Paper Gallery, and her illustrations are regularly published in the Lifted Brow. Beyond her creative practice, Emilie believes in accessibility to art for all, and ties her art practice in with education and public programs. Her style of teaching is lively, engaging and adaptive to a wide diversity of audience. Emilie covers a range of arts workshops: printmaking, drawing, watercolour, 3D printing, comics and crafts.
