Nan Tien Temple is the largest Buddhist Temple in Australia.
Founded in 1965 by Venerable Master Hsing Yun, it's one of 200 branch temples of Fo Guang Shan, an international Chinese Buddhist monastic order. The order promotes what is called 'Humanistic Buddhism', placing an emphasis on integrating Buddhist practices into everyday life.
"Nan Tien" in Chinese, literally means "Paradise of the South".
