TEDxMelbourne, like the city, brings together a diverse group of people to share ideas, knowledge and inspiration at a series of events held throughout the year. At our events, live speakers and TEDTalks videos combine to spark deep discussion, connection and thought. We host inspiring events in iconic Melbourne venues, at the State Library of Victoria, Melbourne Recital Centre and now the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and boast broad themes including education, innovation, future leadership, youth and more. Past speakers include: Sami Shah (Comedian), ex-politician Evan Thornley (Better Place), Andrew MacLeod (then CEO Committee for Melbourne), Joseph D’Souza (QuestUnique), Liz Broaderick (Discrimination Commissioner) & Jenny Gray (CEO - Zoos Victoria). About TEDx In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx where x = independently organised TED event. Our event is called TEDxMelbourne. At our TEDxMelbourne event, TEDTalks videos and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion, connection and sharing of ideas. TED provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.
