Zig Zag provides a place of healing, support and social action for young women aged 12-25 years.
Zig Zag Young Women’s Resource Centre Inc. is a community based not-for-profit organisation in Brisbane that provides a number of services to young women and the wider community. Services include counselling and support to young women aged 12 to 25 years who have experienced sexual assault and medium term supported accommodation and housing support to young women aged 16-25 years who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. We also offer professional training and information resources to the community in appropriately responding to these issues.
Zig Zag recognises the diversity amongst young women and we work in a way that promotes safety, and is collaborative, inclusive, supportive and respectful. Zig Zag is committed to ethical practice and a process of continuous reflection and development that is informed by young women, practice wisdom and shared knowledge.
