Spring in the Vale is an all-ages, camping Music Festival held on Kenmay grazing property. Having run for three years previously, with an attendance of over 700 in 2021, the Festival promotes quality original music, while growing local tourism and fostering the local arts scene, in a safe and fun family oriented environment.
Now in its fourth year, Spring in the Vale is an annual celebration of art, new beginnings and the coming of Spring. Kenmay is a large grazing property located in the rural area of Miriam Vale, near towns Agnes Water and 1770, and Spring in the Vale promotes original music from both this local area, as well as artists from the wider QLD. As a regional and all-ages event, Spring in the Vale provides the opportunity for locals to see artists who normally wouldn't be performing in the area, bringing patrons from abroad into the town, and allowing those under 18 to experience a safe and quality music event.
2021 saw Spring in the Vale’s biggest year yet, partnering with artists of different mediums, including: eight musical acts of National and International touring standard, indigenous artist Jarrod Beezly with a storytelling workshop, ukulele, macrame and yoga workshops, a showcase from Mandy Mietten’s local dance school, local artist stalls, and also local artists Raylene and Adam who created incredible art and lighting installations for the Festival. In 2022, Spring in the Vale will again be partnering with artists from the local and wider area to bring quality: musicians, workshops, art stalls and installations to Miriam Vale/Agnes Water.
