AcuNidra, originally designed by Spiros Antoniades, is a comprehensive therapeutic treatment in a group setting. It combines the two ancient healing practices of acupuncture and Yoganidra, together with sound healing, light, and smell stimulation.
An AcuNidra session is designed around a healing intention. Each individual expresses to the practitioner their unique needs, so these are also taken under consideration during the session. The ultimate practice of Yoganidra requires the participant to be fully aware of the guided healing instructions. As this is not always easy to achieve, the stimulation of all senses, prior and during the healing, aims to keep the participant alert.
The outcome is often profound: significant lowering in the activity of the sympathetic nervous system resulting in the deep relaxation, allows the body redirect its energy to healing.
