At the age of 6 Brandt watched a movie that altered his life path. The Karate Kid ignited his passion for martial arts and became a lifelong passion. 30 years of karate training has seen Brandt achieve many National Championships, two World Championship bronze medals and 7 world championship competitions. In 2014 Brandt began to diversify his martial arts training and began learning boxing, kick boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Mixed martial arts is a collective of these skills. This passion for growth and a lifetime of experience to share inspired Brandt and Leah to open Fitzroy Martial Arts 2015 and it has since continued to grow and evolve. Brandt has so far had great success in Mixed martial arts competitions and continues to strive to learn, teach into the future.
