Greg has been running plain language writer training in various forms for a few decades, mainly for public servants.
He developed his training content largely out of his practical experience in helping clients explain sometimes complex ideas in a clear, concise and simple way. He goes beyond words and sentences and includes the thinking that underpins effective documents.
Greg is a plain language zealot - he wants all documents, especially those in the public sphere, to be written plainly. He constructed the PlainLanguagePro document certification series of trademarks as a way for businesses and government agencies to demonstrate they have taken seriously their duty to communicate in a way that is clear, concise and effective. (PlainLanguagePro is now managed by Plain Language Contracts)
