Ōtepoti Community Builders is a community-led network made up of grassroots organisations across the social wellbeing, health, arts, and community sectors, many of which rely heavily on contestable funding and volunteers to implement their work. They supplement the work done by many larger organisations, and, with their intrinsic links into the communities they work alongside, have knowledge of social and community issues and dreams and how to resolve or implement them that often can’t be seen from a distance.
ŌCB offers a collective voice for these groups, and with our particular focus on capability building and thought leadership, we support them to achieve their community goals.
Our network is governed and managed by a Kaitiaki group of 13 members, who are widely representative of our communities.
