The AEGN is the national peak body for philanthropists funding climate action and environmental protection. We are an independent, trusted, member-based organisation funded by funders, for funders. We offer a safe space for a diverse range of philanthropists — from long established foundations to modern family foundations and individual donors. With a mission to grow effective environment and climate philanthropy and to transform Australia’s contribution to the climate and environment crisis, more philanthropists are joining the AEGN network. From humble beginnings in 2008 the AEGN has now grown to over 180 members who share a vision for a future Australia that cares for people and for the planet.
