The Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) celebrates and encourages screen excellence in Australia, working to promote great Australian content to both national and international audiences. Australia’s greatest film and television practitioners are recognised annually via the nation’s highest screen accolades – the AACTA Awards. Established in 2011, the Academy builds upon the heritage of the AFI, becoming the most prestigious film and television membership body in Australia whilst offering screenings, programs and events to support existing and emerging talent. Overseen by President Russell Crowe, Vice President Nicole Kidman, AACTA is a not-for-profit organisation whose vision is to harness the global power of screen to provide a voice for all.
