Abbeyfield Waimakariri volunteers are raising funds to build a 'flatting for seniors' Abbeyfield House in Rangiora.
It will allow 14 seniors to rent their own en-suite studio and share all meals and companionship in a shared dining room and lounge. All meals and overheads are included in a very affordable rent.
It's a proven model of living for single seniors with 16 already operational in New Zealand.
