Founded in 2023, Access Lab & Library (ALL)—under the guidance of Fayen d’Evie, Jon Tjhia, and Lloyd Mst—fosters disability-led and artist-led access within creative environments. Our tools and strategies are crafted for live performance, exhibitions, and publishing. We approach access as a temporary, collectively-held space; a field for experimentation and a platform for generosity. We propose a conversational contribution on the concepts of multi-sensory and intersensory publishing. We’re interested in discussing agency in readers curating their own sensory experiences, nuances of access layering, and how we can handle conflicting sensory inputs. Fayen is an artist and academic at the forefront of artist-led and disability-led experimental art and design. Jon is an artist, writer and editor working through radio and podcast, literature, photomedia, music and publishing. Lloyd’s practice focuses on both physical and digital publishing, characterised by a layered approach to accessibility.
