The purpose of Adelaide Leather and Fetish, hereby referred to as AL&F is to bring like-minded kinksters together in an open and inclusive environment for the purposes of education and social activities relating to kink, with an emphasis on the LGBTQIA+ community.
AL&F are an accessible and open group of individuals who share an interest in kink related topics. AL&F are governed by an elected Board who conduct activities within the bounds of laws and social responsibilities.
AL&F encourage all folk to join in by having clearly defined policies relating to but not limited to inclusion of all genders, sexualities, race, abilities, social and personal responsibilities etc.
Some of our key purposes are:
1. Inclusivity of all, provided all guests and members adhere to our guidelines on conduct, responsibility, and openness, with an emphasis on topics relating to the LGBTQIA+ community.
2. The education of folk with regards to kink related topics. This can include workshops, discussion forums etc.
3. A social outlet for kinksters to associate with other likeminded folk in an open, accessible, and welcoming environment. We hold regular events such as pub nights, and each November (coinciding with Adelaide’s Feast Festival) our GEAR’d Weekend which is a celebration of kinks and our community.
4. A strong connection in relation to the rest of the kink community. We encourage support, acceptance and participation of other groups, businesses, and folk with an emphasis on sharing of knowledge/attendance (be it other events or activities) and fundraising for charities/groups that our members/guests feel are important to our general wellbeing as a group and community.
5. A requirement that all funds raised, be it though fundraising or ticket sales, are not used for personal gain, but the benefit of our members/guests and the wider community through various means (with the exception of Titleholders travel fund, purchasing resources for use by AL&F, donation to charities).
If this sounds like you, please speak to one of our members who would be happy to talk to you about what we do and how you can participate.
