Adrianne Fleming OAM has applied exceptional vision and energy to survive and grow her career in a challenging industry sector. She is a passionate aviation educator and believer in the “first taught best taught” philosophy and the importance of a solid foundational learning platform in pilot training.
Adrianne is driven by the pursuit of excellence in pilot training and desire to see the industry thrive. She believes when something isn’t right, it’s essential to step up and take action rather than wait for change. Committed to actively shaping the future of aviation, Adrianne has had involvement in key industry bodies which include The Future of Aviation Reference Panel, PABC, RAAA, The CASA Aviation Safety Advisory Panel, The General Aviation Advisory Network and Chairman of Industry Skills Australia Aviation Strategic Workforce Planning Committee. All of these involve collaboration with like-minded professionals to influence meaningful progress.
Adrianne has worked as a flight instructor and examiner and volunteered with the Australian Air League, an aviation youth organisation helping to educate and inspire future aviators. Her volunteer work extends over many years, including the Australian Women Pilots’ Association where she was awarded the Nancy Bird Walton Award for the most noteworthy contribution to aviation by a woman in Australasia and in 2016 the Order of Australia Medal for her services to the Aviation Industry.
Adrianne is a skilled communicator. Her work has seen her address 200-strong Press Conferences in India, train large groups of multicultural students, and present speeches on a diverse range of topics to government, business and community groups.
Adrianne’s pilot qualifications include an Australian Commercial Pilot Licence, Grade 1 flight instructor rating, Multi Engine Instrument Rating and Flight Examiner Rating. She is also the Head of Operations for Tristar Aviation with responsibility for the school’s training syllabus and standards.
