Agricola Farm is a small diversified livestock farm in the Champlain Valley (Vermont). The owners, Alessandra and Stefano are two Italians passionate about sustainable agriculture, animals welfare and old italian food traditions. At their home, you can experience the old Italian cusine as you would find in many households and trattorie through the Italian country side. They are both from the north western area of Italy (liguria and piemonte) so the dishes at the farm are mostly from these regions, but they also try out and have fun traveling across the entire peninsula with their dishes. The farm is a real working farm. Do not expect a manicured fancy hobby farm. The pigs live across the street, the chickens sometimes cross the street, and the sheep at times have been known to run down the street (at which point the hosts excuse themselves to go retrieve the flock). Our goal is to live in harmony with animals and plants and work together with our animals to make the soil of the land supporting us a bit better, a bit healthier and bit more diverse.
