Alex Ballew is a seasoned sound bath facilitator, multi-instrumentalist, founder of Secret River Sounds, and creator of The Secret River Experience. Since 2020, he has guided hundreds of sound experiences for gatherings, retreats, studios, and special events across the United States.
Known for his expansive gong work and richly layered approach, Alex weaves gongs, singing bowls, didgeridoo, percussion, and other acoustic instruments into immersive journeys shaped by careful pacing and an intuitive response to the room. His work creates space for deep rest, reflection, and a renewed sense of connection.
Alex also has a background as a booking agent, and experience producer whose career has moved across talent representation, live events, touring, and immersive sound.
Across every part of his work, Alex has remained interested in the same essential question: what allows an experience to truly resonate with the people in the room? Secret River Sounds grew from that pursuit, bringing together artists, partners, and spaces to create experiences that feel meaningful and fully supported.
