Allen is a registered Chinese Medicine doctor with 14 years experience.
His passion for Chinese Medicine was inspired by a life long obsession with Martial arts. Whilst studying Taoist martial arts he became very interested in the mysteries of Taoist Alchemy.
In 2000 he moved to Melbourne Australia and studied Acupressure massage and Cupping under Bettina Brill and Micheal Kotsanas of Shen Healing in Carlton and received a certificate of practice.
He then completed his Degree in Health Sciences – Chinese Medicine with a major in Acupuncture at Victoria University in 2006.
Allen has been in private practice since, treating a wide range of clients with a wide range of health issues.
Allen starting his martial arts training in Bujinkan Ninjutsu. This school teaches traditional Japanese Koryu Budo martial arts. At 18 years of age, he attained a 1st Dan Black Belt at the Tattoli Dojo in Newcastle, NSW.
Koryu Budo martial arts are the oldest form of martial art in Japan. Century’s old, these ancient arts have their roots in Mikkyo Buddhism.
Over the years, Allen has travelled the world studying under many masters. In 2017 he attained a 5th Dan black belt in Koryu Bujutsu under his current teacher, Sensei Steven Mckeown.
Allen currently lives in Dungog and run a busy Chinese Medicine clinic and offers Qigong and Budo martial art classes weekly.
